Leaks of confidential information are one of the biggest risks corporations face when scrapping PCs or returning them to a leasing company.
The KOBRA DEGAUSSER incorporates the latest technology and is the world’s most compact, lightweight, and efficient instant degausser in its category. It utilises maximum power to meet the needs of ordinary corporations and government institutions for erasing confidential information. Its portability and efficiency are also a boon to businesses providing data-erasure services.
The KOBRA DEGAUSSER completely erases digital data on all functional or non-functional magnetic media including PMR/LMR hard disk drive and reel/cartridge tapes regardless of data capacity or interface type. The equipment works by saturating the media’s magnetic field, thus eliminating all data. Such data cannot be recovered. Servo tracks are also erased so media that use servo tracks (e.g. HDD) cannot be re-used. Since software is not used to erase the data, the system is not dependent on OS.
KOBRA DEGAUSSER produces an approx. 20000 gauss field in a patented erasure zone design. This enables characteristics and performance that are at the top level for NSA listed degaussers.
